Our Goal
- Our goal is to preserve, enforce and strengthen the federal and state protections of the National Radio Quiet Zone so it remains:
- A successful scientific facility that protects the Green Bank Telescope from radiofrequency (RF) interference.
- A real-world control group that enables the study of wireless radiation exposure impacts on humans an the environment.
- A refuge for individuals suffering from ElectroMagnetic Radiation Syndrome (EMR Syndrome).
- An environmental sanctuary that protects nature and wildlife from harmful artificial wireless signals.
- A protected safe haven for current and future generations to thrive in a healthy environment.
We all need to get involved now, since in August 2025 the GBO adopted a new policy allowing 2.4 GHz WiFi but is not enforcing the state law to stop the other signals (4.8, 5.8 ..7-7.2 GHz) emitted from modems and Frontier's fiber ONT (Optical Network Terminal).
